We point people to Jesus in some of their greatest needs and deepest pain through biblical counseling. We’ll work with anyone, and have a special interest in serving those who serve cross-culturally.
We work remotely with individuals and couples on a wide range of challenges. We want to help connect dots between your suffering, and the healing that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings.
About Us
I’m Randy Turner, Executive Director of MissioCare Counseling. I live in Spring, Texas with my wife and our three daughters. I’m passionate about God being glorified all over the globe, and I’ve spent most of my adult life helping to get more missionaries on the field, connecting with their churches, and seeing that they’re cared for while they are there.
You’re not a problem to be solved, but a person to be listened to. I’m a person too. I strive for excellence and competence, but I come into the counseling call as a whole person and a fellow sufferer, eager to listen to what’s hard or stuck in your life and bring insight from Scripture and the comfort and hope the Lord has to offer.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary, and an Advanced Degree Certification from the Association of Biblical Counselors.
FAQs
How does this work?
We offer a free 15 minute consultation to hear what you would like help with, and assess whether we would be a good fit for you. Afterward, you would fill out our intake forms and we would begin the process of meeting regularly.
Do you only work with people in ministry?
No. We’re happy to work with individuals and couples in any number of seasons and walks of life. Also, we do have some specific competencies and passion for working with missionaries and people in full-time ministry.
What is Biblical Counseling?
You may have found that term can actually mean a range of things. We were trained under and align closely with CCEF. You can read about their distinctives here. At the baseline, we see God as creator, and our relationship with Him as something fundamental to what we are as people. For help to be most helpful, it needs to interact with this core piece of who and what we are. We want to listen well and understand the contours of your situation, understand what God has to say in the Bible, and help you move toward faith, trust, worship, and healing. Our goal is not to talk at you, but to listen and understand well, and then use Scripture with tenderness and wisdom.
How much does it cost?
We charge $100 per 50 minute session, or $150 per 80 minute session. We also offer a 25% discount for anyone in or transitioning out of full-time ministry. We do not accept insurance. If you are in need of financial assistance, we would encourage you to consider asking your church if they are able to help cover the cost.
