We point people to Jesus in some of their greatest needs and deepest pain through biblical counseling. We’ll work with anyone, and have a special interest in serving those who serve cross-culturally.
MissioCare Counseling
We work remotely with individuals and couples on a wide range of challenges. We want to help connect dots between your suffering, and the healing that the gospel of Jesus Chris brings.
About Us
Hi, I’m Randy Turner, and I run MissioCare Counseling. I live in South Texas with my wife Jessica and our three daughters. I’m passionate about God being glorified all over the globe, and I’ve spent most of my adult life helping to get more missionaries on the field and see that they’re cared for while they are there.
You’re a person. I come into the counseling session as a person too. I’m not a detached professional locked and loaded with all of the answers. I’ve read the books, studied the scriptures, and gotten the biblical counseling credentialing… But I’ve also suffered. I want to listen well as a fellow sufferer to what’s hard or stuck in your life, And it’s my joy to help comfort others with the comfort I’ve received from God.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary, and an Advanced Degree Certification from the Association of Biblical Counselors. I am also an elder at Divine Providence Church in Brownsville Texas where I counsel locally, teach the youth with my wife, preach occasionally, and play the bass with the worship team.
How does this work?
All of this might feel scary if you’ve never talked to a counselor before. Don’t be afraid. We’re just people. (And actually not very scary people.) Here’s how it works:
We offer a free 15 minute consultation to hear what you would like help with, and assess whether we would be a good fit for you. After that, if you would like to move forward, you would fill out our intake forms and we would begin the process of meeting regularly. You are free to end counseling, or request help finding another counselor who might be a better fit at any time. Be aware that it usually takes a few sessions for us to get to know you, understand the contours of the challenges at play in your life, and to start to see where the rubber of Scripture meets the road of your life. We’re committed to listening well, and we would encourage patience on your end with the counseling process.
How much does it cost?
We charge $100 per 50 minute session, or $150 per 80 minute session. We also offer a 25% discount for anyone in or transitioning out of full time ministry.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance. If you are in need of financial assistance, we would encourage you to consider asking your church if they are able to help cover the cost.
